Town continued their excellent home start to the season with a 4-1 victory over Coventry City in front of the Sky cameras. Pablo Couñago scored twice and Jason De Vos and Jon Walters once, while Stephen Hughes netted a late freekick for the Sky Blues.

Boss Jim Magilton looks set to stick with keeper Neil Alexander for Saturday's live home Sky game with Coventry City (Sky Sports One, KO 5.20pm). Earlier in the week the Town manager hinted that he might replace the Scot with Shane Supple after a below par performance at West Brom last week.

Town's poor away start to the season continued with a 4-0 defeat at West Brom. The Blues went behind to Ishmael Miller's goal during a first half dominated by the home side. Town improved after the break but were hit by a late three-goal salvo from Filipe Teixeira and Kevin Phillips (2).

Town defender Alex Bruce's eligibility to play for the Republic of Ireland is being questioned by the Northern Irish FA. Bruce won his first senior Republic of Ireland cap in a friendly with Ecuador in the summer and previously made three Irish U21 appearances and one at B level.

Midfielder George O'Callaghan has joined Brighton and Hove Albion on loan until January. Earlier, the Irishman was unable to agree terms regarding a permanent move to the Withdean Stadium after the clubs agreed a fee of £60,000 rising by £15,000 on appearances.
